How do I restore a purchase?
Open ThisLife, go to Settings, and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID you bought it with. A restore never charges you again.

How do I cancel ThisLife+?
On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then ThisLife+, then Cancel Subscription.
Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app doesn't cancel the subscription. You keep ThisLife+ until the end of the period you've paid for.

How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all refunds, and we can't issue them. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose Request a refund.

Are Remove ads and ThisLife+ on Android?
No. Both are sold on the App Store only, and they work on any iPhone or iPad with the same Apple ID. ThisLife has no accounts, so they don't carry over to Android. On Android, you can watch videos for the same history and figures.

I got a new phone. Where did my lives go?
Your lives are saved on your phone, and only there. We never see them, which also means we can't bring one back. If you restore a new phone from a full backup of the old one, your saves may come back with it.
Your purchases are safe either way. On iPhone or iPad, use Restore purchases.

How often do ads show up?
In the free version, a short ad appears between game years, every few minutes of play at most. Never in the middle of a card, and never before your obituary.
You can also choose to watch a video. A video opens history for your current life, befriends a historical figure, lets you leave a life early, or pauses the ads between years for 15 minutes.
iPhone and iPad: Remove ads stops the ads between years, and you can still choose to watch videos. ThisLife+ stops all ads.

How do I change my ad and tracking choices?
If your region requires it, the app has a Settings → Privacy options row to change your ad consent. On iPhone, you can also allow or stop tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. The Privacy Policy has the details.

Are the historical figures real?
The people are real. What they say to you is invented. Historical figures appear as fictional characters, and their lines are written for the game. History is simplified, and occasionally it's teased.

How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. That removes every life and setting, because there's no copy anywhere else. To delete your purchase record too, email us. The Privacy Policy explains what that involves.
